Stephen Pickup

Stephen began his career in M&A at Deutsche Bank, working across both Europe and Asia, before transitioning into senior leadership roles as CFO and CEO within some of the largest corporate farming businesses in Europe.

His experience in the sector culminated in his role as a director at Prodimex Farmland, overseeing operations across more than 900,000 hectares in Eastern Europe. This exposure provided him with deep insight into the operational and financial complexities of large-scale agriculture.

Having recognised the limited focus on sustainability within the industry, Stephen joined Traditum to lead on the development of sustainability strategies within agriculture, alongside initiatives aimed at de-risking the operations and financial structures of agricultural businesses.
He holds a degree in Chinese and Russian from Durham University and an MBA from INSEAD, underpinning his international perspective and strategic approach.
