Richard Topliss

Richard brings over 40 years of experience in corporate banking, having held senior roles at NatWest and RBS across Bristol, London, Birmingham and Scotland, before returning to the North West in 2000.

As Managing Director of Corporate & Commercial Banking for the North of England and North Wales, he led teams delivering banking services to a broad range of clients, from SMEs through to FTSE 100 corporates. This experience has given him deep and wide-ranging expertise across a variety of sectors, alongside a strong understanding of the financial and strategic needs of complex businesses.

Richard now serves as Chair of Traditum, where he provides strategic oversight and guidance, with a particular focus on client service. He also plays an active role on the Investment Committee and is a member of the North West Business Leadership Team, contributing to the Group’s broader strategic direction.
